Demand for remote interventions during plenary

Dear President Sassoli,

We take notice of your decision to conduct the upcoming plenary without the possibility of remote video interventions. 

However, we believe a debate in the Parliament’s plenary is crucial under these exceptional circumstances, where elected representatives can openly exchange on matters close to citizen’s hearts and minds. The Parliament must continue to fulfill its responsibility and hold both Council and Commission accountable, while being conducive to forward-looking solutions in this health, economic and social crisis.

We therefore ask you to enable video interventions by ordinary members during the upcoming plenaries.
