Letter to challenge big polluter’s influence at the UNFCCC

The Transatlantic Letter Signees are a unique international alliance advocating for a framework to address conflicts of interest and reduce the excessive influence of fossil fuel companies in this field. They also call for the removal of oil baron Al-Jaber as the COP28 president. Today, the letter was sent to President of the United States Joseph Bidgen, President of the European Commission Von Der Leyen, UN Secretary General António Guterres and UN Executive Secretary Simon Stiell. This initiative is carried out in collaboration with more than 425 civil society organizations worldwide as part of the Kick Big Polluters Out campaign.
